The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards have recognized talented young artists and writers across the U.S. since 1923. My photograph, “Golden Hour,” which won a Gold Key , was taken during sunset in the peaceful mountains of Northern California. This recognition places my work alongside some of the best creative pieces from young artists across the country, highlighting both the beauty of nature and my artistic approach.
My photograph, "The Raven" which features a raven perched perfectly on a street sign in the barren landscape of Arizona, received a Silver Key in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards has honored my photograph, "Strata," with a Silver Key. Captured at 2 a.m. under a canopy of stars from the highest elevation pedestrian bridge in Northern California, "Strata" stands out among the finest works of young photographers nationwide.
The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards has recognized my photograph "One Brief Moment," a Silver Key. Captured in Iowa amid the heavy pollution caused by Canadian wildfire smoke, "One Brief Moment" features the fiery sun piercing through a thick layer of smoke and soot, perfectly framed by a giant metal sculpture. This recognition places my work among the nation’s finest young photographers, showcasing both the dramatic scene and my creative vision.
