GENERAL INFORMATION
What types of photography services do you offer?- I offer a wide variety of session types ranging from- Portraits, Couples/Weddings, Landscapes, Senior photos, Commercial Events, Professional headshots, Family Reunions, Real Estate, Maternity and more! (If you are interested in a photoshoot that is not listed here please feel free to contact me or visit my Custom requests page)
Do you have a portfolio or gallery?- Yes! you can view a wide variety of my photographs if you visit the work section of the website. Moreover I have carefully turned my socials into my own personal gallery of sorts in which I post my favorite shots taken from many of my travels and hired on events.
What Equipment do you use?- I shoot most of my bookings on my Canon R8 Camera using a 24-70mm lens. However I also provide film photography at an additional price. Film photography is available in 35mm, 120mm and Instant (Polaroid Film). If interested in adding film to your booking, please mention it during scheduling.
BOOKING AND SESSIONS
How do i book a session?- A photography session may be booked in 2 different ways, either reach out to me on my Booking page detailing your name, email address and a message regarding the event you want photographed. Or- Send me a message through my social media account/s @elp_with_a_camera on instagram.
What is your pricing structure?- My current pricing for a standard 1 hour shoot is $150 (including free editing & Retouching + there is no photo limit). Please note: this pricing only applies to parties of 3 and less persons. Additional persons are an extra 10$ per body.) Half hour photoshoots are also available for $80 (including free editing & Retouching + there is no photo limit)

How do you determine pricing?- The pricing for photoshoots is highly dependent on a variety of factors including- Event type, Duration of the event, Location, Props, And Extra editing. (If you have any questions about pricing for your event, feel free to ask during consultation and I'll be happy to help clarify.)
Do you offer consultations before the session?- Yes! I always offer all my clients a free consultation before their shoot, this can either be scheduled via phone or text & is often held after booking your shoot.
What is the purpose of a consultation?- Consultations are designed to clarify any questions you may have and ensure you feel prepared and comfortable for your shoot.
How long do sessions usually last?- Most sessions have a duration no longer than 1-1/2 hours (Please note: this is an average based upon individual or group photos with less than 3 persons. Special Events such as commercial, wedding etc will last a longer duration)
What should i wear to my photo shoot?- Choosing the right outfit for your photoshoot can enhance your overall look and ensure you feel confident and comfortable.
*Here's a few of my favorite tips for a worry free photoshoot*
1. Opt for clothing that reflects your personal style while complementing the shoot's setting and purpose.
2. Solid colors and simple patterns work well, Avoid overly bright colors and complex patterns
3. Consider the season and location
4. layered outfits are great for versatility and can add depth to your photos.
5. If you're unsure, bring a few different options, different outfits can give you more flexibility during the session.
Ultimately, the best outfit is one that makes you feel your best, allowing your personality to shine through in every shot.
Can i choose the location of the Shoot?- Yes of course! This photoshoot is about you. Make it your own by choosing your ideal location! (Please note: Photography services are Iowa based only and I will not travel out of state. Moreover- depending on the length of travel times, certain fees may occur. All travel related questions should be discussed during consultation)
AFTER THE SESSION
How long does it take to receive my photos?- My current turnaround time for photography is 1-2 weeks. However this may change depending on the event type and if extra editing is requested.
How will I receive my photos?- I utilize an online cloud system to deliver your photos. Once your photos are complete an email containing a link and extra information to download them is provided. Simply click the link attached to the email and follow the instructions.
PAYMENT AND POLICIES
What payment methods do you accept?- Currently I accept payment in the form of Cash, Venmo, CashApp and check. - *Payment in full is required following the photoshoot*
Do you require a deposit?- Most shoots do not require a deposit, however special events or photoshoots longer than 1-1/2 hours will require a deposit. Deposit amount will be discussed during consultation.
Cancellation Policy
I understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans need to change. My goal is to provide flexibility while ensuring my schedule can accommodate all clients fairly. Please review my cancellation policy below:
Standard Sessions
- Cancellations or Rescheduling (More than 7 Days Before the Session):
- If you need to cancel or reschedule your session more than 7 days in advance, I am happy to accommodate your request at no additional charge. Any deposit paid will be fully refunded, or it can be applied to a future session.

- Cancellations or rescheduling requests made between 7 days and 48 hours before the session will incur a fee of 50% of the total session cost. The balance of any deposit paid will be refunded, or the deposit can be applied to a future session with the fee deducted.

Weather-Related Cancellations
